Today is my Blog’s 2nd Anniversary!

Hmm. I don’t know how to start this post but I would like to thank every people who I’ve met during the past 2 years of my existence here on Tumblr. It was a fun ride to be on Tumblr. I’ve met a lot of awesome people that I became friends with. I did not expect that blogging would be so much fun.

Before I go on telling things about my blog, I would like to introduce myself first. I am Alexis A. Lim, studying at the University of Santo Tomas-College of Accountancy. I am a 4th Year MA student. I don’t regret being transferred to MA program, I’m very happy where I am now. I love watching movies and tv series. I also love reading books. I plan to study again after I graduate from UST. I really want to become a filmmaker/ professional photographer and to make a film for Cinemalaya. 

Now you know a little bit about myself. I made this blog after I made blogspot and wordpress accounts. I thought that Tumblr would be an awesome place to blog. After a few months, I stopped posting on my blogspot and wordpress accounts but I continued tumblr. I decided to use JUAN because I wanted to showcase the Philippines to the whole world. Showing different photos of our famous landmarks, people and the condition that we are in. It’s sort of photojournalism that’s why most of my shots are Street. 

Ayun. I wanted to thank a lot of people who’s been with me for the past 2 years. First, I would like to thank PakyePamilya. I really want to Thank you guys for being there whenever I need you and we treat each other as a family and that makes this bond that we have very special. They say that once your on Tumblr, you don’t have life outside tumblr. Well, for my case, I can say that ever since I started Tumblr, I realized how huge life can be especially if you met true friends from this blogging site. So thank you guys! Kina Dhel, Ryan, Cheska, Grace, Alvin, Robi, Kaypee, Isz, Pabee, Kevin, Kaloy, Tristan, Ken, Erica, Cedie, Prex, MJ, PJ, Wilson, Eeyah, Lady, Mikee, James, Garry, Shikara, Justin, Law, Mark Moya, Cedric, Paolo, Kenzo, Airra, Alex, Enzo, Jay-r, Lawrence, and Byron. Salamat. Sensya na di ko malagay links ng lahat, di ko memorize eh. ~___~ 

Next one would be the Tumblr Friends that I met ever since I started. Sobrang dami niyo kaya di ko na maenumerate lahat. haha. Even though maminsan lang ako makasama kayo, you really mean to me guys. It was a blast meeting you guys. 

I’m very glad that I also met the people behind the Helios Project International! They are my masters in terms of photography. I’ve learned so much about them about photography and film making. It was a pleasure to be with this guys during photowalks and videos shoots. I promise to be active again once my schedule becomes not too busy. ~___~

I would also like to acknowledge my group of friends inside the classroom, Planetang Puso. All of us came from different sections but we managed to bond very well that our group became so tight. I’m very glad that you guys are there whenever I need your help especially on our difficult lessons. More bonding time with you guys since this will be our last years on college.

I would also like to thank my Accountancy Journal family wherein I’m part of this org since I was 1st year in College. They welcomed me warmly and there were a lot of challenges that I overcame but still, I chose to stay here. I love them very much and in here, I can really express myself because I’m a photographer here and I think that’s the field where I should be. Thank you very much.

And lastly, to my followers who’s there to keep on liking my post and subscribing still on my blog even though I don’t post regularly. Thank you very much. Without you guys, I would not be where am I right now.

Dampa sa Paranaque

So yesterday was my lola’s 75th birthday and we decided to go to Dampa here in Paranaque for a very simple dinner. It’s been a while since we last visited Dampa here because of there’s a new Dampa located in Diosdado Macapagal Boulevard wherein it’s larger and better but I think visiting this place brings back good old memories with my family and elementary friends. It’s looks smaller than before, maybe because there are fewer people who visits this place.

So this Dampa place is wherein you buy the ingredients/raw materials from the Dampa Market then go to a restaurant and ask them to cook for you on whatever cuisine you want to have. So here are the photos from last night.

My small family cause everyone’s living either in abroad or in the province. :)
