L.O.V.E.: Laura x Mark

This post is dedicated to Laura and Mark who are a couple. If all of you would remember, I’ve asked couples that are available for a photoshoot. I’m very glad that I shot them because they are just a very cute and good couple.

How did they meet?

Laura is a Linguistics Major and Mark is taking up Political Science at the University of the Philippines (UP)- Diliman. Both of these courses are situated at the College of Social Sciences and Philosophy in UPD. It was in summer before Laura’s sophomore’s year and junior for Mark wherein they were classmates in Sociology 101. The two of them got closer when they became group mates for the whole summer class. And from there, they started getting to know each other more and better.

The challenges they faced as a couple:

According to them, the biggest challenge they had so far would be the long distance relationship that began last September. It was in September when Laura left for Japan as she entered the foreign exchange program wherein she was accepted. She actually left a few weeks before their first anniversary which made it a more difficult obstacle. The foreign exchange program lasts for about a year and it was last February wherein she was back in the Philippines for a month because of their term break/ print break in Japan. This break made the photoshoot possible wherein they were very excited to do.

The first half of the long distance relationship, the past five months, was really hard for the both of them., Not being able to see your love one in person makes this very difficult. There are a lot of things that kept them busy like school stuff, work, and a lot more. With these things present, there was a very minimal chance for them to talk online. 

Even though their long distance relationship was a huge test, this definitely made them love each other more and made them stronger as a couple.

A message to each other:

Message of Laura to Mark:

“I really like writing long letters and talking a lot, but really, it’s easy to cut what I want to say in a few short sentences. Mark, You already know how much I care about you and how very important you are to me. I’ll always be your own personal cheerleader, no matter where I am. I love you very much!”

Message of Mark to Laura:

“To the most wonderful girl fate have allowed me to meet, the one whom I’ve learned a lot of important lessons from, the one whom I’ve shared precious moments with, the one who’ve brought me to new places, the one who’ve motivated me to do small things and to take a step out of myself, the one who have made me laugh, cry, smile, think, and plan about all the good little things of our future - to Laura, to that girl who has given me every emotion, to that girl whom I will always trust my heart with, I will always love you.”
